There’s something new coming to the Messiah Project!
We are so pleased to announce auditions for the brand-new chamber choir, Credo Chorale. Auditions are coming soon, and we would love to have you audition and share this information with singers you know.
Why does The Messiah Project need another choir? There are several excellent community choirs in the Springfield area, but none of them are specifically faith-based. This is the gap that Credo Chorale is stepping into: providing excellence in choral music with skilled singers that is specifically intended to share the gospel with audiences, just as The Messiah Project has done locally and around the world for 30 years.
We are very pleased that several have signed up and we have about half the ensemble selected. There will be another round of auditions on September 11 & 12
1. A solo in any language in an art song genre (German lieder, Italian art song, French chanson, English song, etc.) to be sung with a track.
· Computer with internet and access to YouTube will be provided
· Bluetooth speaker will be provided
· No need for any other technology to be brought by the auditionee
2. Depending on your voice part, prepare the portion of “For Unto Us a Child is Born” as indicated below. Timestamps are for the YouTube video below:
· Soprano, section A to 0:50
· Alto, section E 2:11-3:03
· Tenor, section D 1:30-1:55
· Bass, section B 0:50-1:12

Rehearsals will be Mondays 6:30-8:00 at All Saints Anglican Church, 2751 E Galloway in Springfield, and will begin September 14th. We will have at least four performances in the coming year, including a debut concert in the mid-fall, Amahl and the Night Visitors as a part of the Holiday Prelude, Saviour with the Messiah Project Grand Chorus in the mid-spring, and Haydn’s Creation in the late spring.
We are so excited for this new chapter of The Messiah Project, and we hope you will come along with us!
